The Alternatives Unlimited (AU) program focuses instruction specifically in the math and language arts content areas. AU takes a proactive stance regarding assisting school districts in New York by getting a comprehensive understanding from the New York Department of Education to offer purposeful, focused instruction that will help students achieve specific targeted goals aligned to the New York State Learning Standards. |
AU hires tutors certified in grades kindergarten through high school. AU Tutors working in the high schools are strong in content with a good understanding of New York State Learning Standards. AU is prepared to service students in grades kindergarten through twelfth grade. |
| AU’s program helps children improve their skills in reading and/or mathematics by providing individual and small-group instruction. |

Emphasis is placed on sound instructional techniques, preparing student for standardized tests and reporting results to teachers, parents and districts. |
